The Aruba Autism Foundation, called "Fundacion Autismo Aruba" works specifically for the interest of people with autism, their families and caretakers. It was officially founded in June of 2005 by parents of children with autism, who had personally experienced the lack of an organization to help them navigate life with autism after a diagnosis.

Children with autism need a lot of love, patience, guidance and special therapy. These children are smart, but it is all about understanding the world they are living in. To be able to keep on doing the good things that Fundacion Autismo Aruba is doing now, I have helped them raise funds by participating in different fundraising events:

• November 18th of 2012: Kids Fashion Show Fundraising
• World Autism Awareness Day, April 2nd  of 2013: 5 KM Fundraising Run

By creating the possibility for people with autism to develop their capacities and giving them the necessary guidance they are given the chance of integrating into society by functioning as independently and productively as possible.
